Kindred Psychotherapy and Consultation is looking for another dedicated and experienced clinician to join our small, selective therapy practice. Our psychotherapists provide high quality individualized therapy to adults and adolescents in person and virtually with an emphasis on authenticity, compassion and effective treatment interventions. We are seeking an independently licensed clinician who is aligned with our mission and willing to treat a mix of in-person and telehealth clients for a minimum of 20 clinical hours per week.

Qualifications

o   Independently licensed (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) and in good standing in the State of Connecticut

o   At least 2 years of clinical mental health experience (preferred: psychotherapy experience)

o   Knowledge of psychodynamic theories, attachment theory, and evidence-based methods of treatment

o   Willingness to learn new/additional treatment modalities to enhance practice

o   Proficient in maintaining electronic health records (we utilize Sessions Health)

o   Commitment to social justice and anti-oppression work

o   Familiarity with clinical mental health diagnoses and treatment plans

o   Ability to work independently with clients but excited to be a part of the larger practice team

o   Aligned with the Kindred Psychotherapy mission and values

Role Responsibilities

o   Provide individual psychotherapy for adults and/or children and adolescents with presenting issues including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and adjustment disorders

o   Select clients from the pool of referrals the practice receives—there are no automatic assignments, each clinician can choose which clients they’d like to treat

o   Maintain a minimum schedule of 20 therapy sessions per week

o   Complete progress notes and treatment plans within 48 hours of client session

o   The ideal candidate will work independently with clients but also engage in supervision (as-needed), case consultation and supportive social interactions with the Kindred team
